Stances enter the game during your character's remortal classes. Below is a list of all of the stances and their bonuses and penalties:
Stances are used to modify stats and skills, sometimes dramatically changing your game. Combining different remort classes (see help remort) will produce a different list of stances. It is up to you to find the combination of classes for each stance as the information will not be provided. Here is a list of the stances available, and the approximate change it does (your stats and level will make a difference). Please see the chart below.

The combination of two remortal classes is one of the most important factors in influencing your character. Each remort combo gives the player their own unique stance. Here are a list of the remortal combinations and some pros and cons of each.

Combos:
| Sor/Mon | Stance Quicksilver | works well for spellcasters who also wish to stun. |
| Sor/Ass | Stance Soulknife | ability to circle and spellcast well, lacks a stun, but very balanced for damage. Stance gives player a large save vs spell bonus which can partially make up for marginal wisdom. |
| Sor/Kni | Stance Spellsword | Good defensive combination. With diamond golem and unit tactics, a good variety of shields, and both the best remort healing spell and the best remort offensive spell, this is a safe combination for most spellcasters. |
| Sor/Nec | Stance Archmage | Best spellcasting combination, allows for the full spectrum of offensive spells with some defensive spells as well. The "Perfect Dodge" on the stance list means physical attacks against someone in stance archmage have a 20% chance to pass through the body without causing damage. |
| Mon/Ass | Stance Dragon | A good physical damage combination. Allows player to stun well and circle well. This stance is not popular due to its lower speed, but is good for those with weak physical stats. |
| Mon/Kni | Stance Snake | Best non-circling combination for a melee character. Good stun, good defensive spells, and the fastest physical attack (+ speed) stance that exists. |
| Mon/Nec | Stance Defiler | This combo allows the player to stun well and animate corpses. The stance associated with this combination will grant a LOT of hitroll allowing the player to land many more (weaker -damroll) attacks. |
| Ass/Kni | Stance Ronin | This combo is the most versatile physical combat combination. Ability to stun, but the best part of this combination is the circle and weapon versatility. Some cons are they have very weak spell defense (no cloak:reflection) and no way to heat armor, which is helpful for certain mobs. |
| Ass/Nec | Stance Deceiver | This combo is a lot like ass/sor, except geared more toward offense than a balance between offense and defense. Pros are good spells and circles, cons are lack of a stun. The stance prevents other players from seeing what spells you are casting. Instead of saying (player) casts '(spell)', it says (Player) casts a spell. |
| Kni/Nec | Stance Zombie | Decent offensive spellcasting, solid defense. Cons are circle is limited, and knight stun stun is slightly weaker than monks'. Stance is a pretty solid. |
